Google User Data Accessed Through Google API Services
Ranktracker is a SaaS platform for SEO professionals. To power our reporting features, you can choose to connect your own Google account so that Ranktracker can display data for the websites and properties you own or manage. This section explains how we access, use, store, share, and protect data we obtain from Google APIs ("Google user data"), and it applies in addition to the rest of this Privacy Policy.
What Google user data we access
We request read-only access, and only after you explicitly connect your Google account and grant consent on Google's OAuth consent screen. Depending on the integrations you enable, we access:
- Google Search Console (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly): search-performance data for the verified sites you select, shown as Search Console reporting inside Ranktracker. - Google Analytics 4 (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly): we use the Google Analytics Admin API to list the GA4 properties you own or manage, and the Google Analytics Data API (runReport) to retrieve only the metrics displayed on your dashboard - such as sessions, users, page views, engagement, bounce rate, and conversions - broken down by dimensions such as source / medium, channel group, page, landing page, country, device, and event.
Our access is strictly read-only: we never create, edit, or delete anything in your Google Search Console or Google Analytics accounts.
How we use Google user data
We use Google user data only to provide and improve the user-facing reporting and analytics features you request within Ranktracker - for example, displaying your Search Console and Google Analytics metrics in your dashboard. We do not use Google user data for advertising, and we do not use it to train, develop, or improve any artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
How we share Google user data
We do not sell, rent, or share Google user data with third parties. We do not transfer Google user data to others except as necessary to provide a feature you requested, to comply with applicable law, or in connection with a merger or acquisition (with prior notice to you). Google user data is never used or transferred for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the features you use.
How we store and protect Google user data
Google user data and the associated OAuth tokens are stored encrypted and are linked only to your Ranktracker account. We limit access to the authorized systems and personnel needed to operate the Service, and we apply administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect this data.
Data retention and deletion
You can disconnect your Google account from Ranktracker at any time. When you disconnect an integration, delete your Ranktracker account, or revoke Ranktracker's access from your Google Account permissions page (https://myaccount.google.com/permissions), we promptly delete the related Google user data and stored OAuth tokens, except where we must retain limited records to comply with applicable law.
Limited Use
Ranktracker's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
